Mission
TCK Support is a global community for adult Third Culture Kids. Founded and led by a TCK therapist, it is a place to make sense of a mobile upbringing and grow into a more whole, integrated self. Grounded in psychology and neuroscience, we combine body-based, emotional, and creative approaches to move toward belonging, integration, and wellbeing. This work does not stop with us: TCKs who have made sense of their own stories become people who can hold more than one truth at once, and the world has never needed that more. We take growth seriously, and we laugh a lot along the way.
Vision
We envision a world where adult Third Culture Kids no longer feel alone on their journey, where a childhood in motion, spent across languages, cultures, and countries, becomes a source of insight and connection instead of isolation. We are building a thriving community where TCKs find words for their experience, tools to integrate it, and people who recognize themselves in each other’s stories. Over time, those further along in their integration return to guide those who come after them.
Values
Everyone belongs and names their own story. This community is open to all adult TCKs, whatever your upbringing: whether your parents were missionaries, diplomats, military, corporate professionals, aid or public health workers, or people who wanted to build a different life elsewhere. We do not discriminate based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, or ethnicity. No one person decides who belongs here. Each of us names our own experience.
Your patterns make sense and are changeable. The ways TCKs adapted were wise responses to a mobile life. We hold them with respect and believe growth and integration are always possible.
We learn through shared experience. We bring research and teaching, but they are a starting point, not the whole: the heart of our gatherings is exploration, honest sharing, and the relief of “it’s not just me.” We think together, and the conversation continues between us.
We include the body. Many of us learned to disconnect from our bodies to survive, so we intentionally bring the body back in. Growth here is felt, not just understood.
You leave with something you can use. Every gathering offers a practical tool: a practice, reframe, or insight you can apply right away.
We’re honest about what this is. This is an educational, experiential, and supportive community. It is not therapy. We hold that line with care, pointing toward professional support when something deserves more than a community space can hold.
We embrace the both/and. You can be from one place, raised by another, and fully claimed by neither. You can hold grief and gratitude for the same childhood: thankful for the many worlds, angry at how little stayed still. You can make friends easily and still find it hard to feel truly known. Grief and absurdity live close together in a mobile life, and there is room here for all of it, sometimes in the same breath.
How We Gather
The work of integration happens together, in a few different ways.
Monthly calls. Ninety minutes together each month, facilitated by a TCK therapist. Journal prompts arrive in the week before, to sit with ahead of the conversation. Free and open to all adult TCKs.
Book clubs. Fiction, memoir, and self-help, some written by people who grew up moving and some who did not. Whatever we read, we interpret it through our own upbringing and discuss what it reflects back.
Discord. An active space for everyday conversation, open to everyone.
The member community. For people who want more than once a month. Weekly calls with a smaller group that gets to know each other over time, forums for the conversations that need more room than a chat thread, pop-up coffee chats, and a growing library of recordings of the teaching from each call.
Membership is $29 a month, or $10 a month with the founding rate, available through the end of September with the code TCK10. TCK Support is a small business, and membership is what keeps the monthly calls free and open to everyone.
About Andrea

I grew up as a TCK in Mexico City and moved many times between the ages of 4 and 26. I have worked with TCKs for 29 years, since I was 14 and had a job at a re-entry camp, and I have been counseling them for about 15 of those. Before counseling, I spent six years in the music industry in Mexico, six years in leadership at an international nonprofit covering Latin America, and five years as an independent translator.
I started TCK Support because the same themes kept surfacing in my therapy room: identity confusion, relationships that swung between anxious and avoidant, grief over places and versions of self that only existed in one time and space, disconnection from the body. I kept hearing about TCKs looking for therapists and running into people who did not understand. And I knew from my own life that some of this moves differently in a room full of people who have lived it.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in TCKs and globally mobile families, trained in EMDR, AEDP, EFT, and somatic approaches. I work bilingually in English and Spanish. Looking for individual therapy or coaching? Visit Andante Counseling, Consulting & Coaching, LLC to learn about working with me one to one.
The next monthly call is free, and you are welcome at it.
